Yep I was in one yesterday.....a kid ran a red light....I saw him coming so I swerved into the opposite traffic but still took a hit on my passenger side in front & behind the rear wheel. I locked it down and stopped before I hit another car head on....and the little bastard took off. This was at a freeway intersection so he hopped on the freeway. After all the cars passed I make a quick u-turn and went after him. I got the Soul up to almost 120 mph and caught him....got in front of him....opened the sunroof and pointed for him to pull over. While this was happening my wife called 911 and had the police on the phone. We exited and turned on a street......I waited for him to get beside us. He said "I didn't know I hit you" and I responded "didn't you see me go down the wrong side of the road?" He said yea and then he hopped out to look at the side of the car, I came around with the police on the phone....I think he thought I was going to kick his little ass because he was shaking. The police made sure he had current DL and insurance. I got his info. and took several pics of his truck's damage and mine. I've already contacted his insurance and filed a claim to make sure his info. was valid. Everyone was OK thank goodness.......because if I hadn't swerved he would have hit in my wife's door! Here are the pics....you can see not much damage but he left the scene of an accident....that's what pissed me off!

I've had to chase two people before for hit and runs. Once I was in my sportage and once in my spectra. Needless to say I got them both too :D Good job on the chase!!

BTW, 120!!!! Hell yeah! Show that little b-tard what a Kia is capable of to catch a "hit-and-run" driver. I would have done just the same. Well, aside from sticking my hand out the sunroof....., don't have one of those... :P

I took my wife to the ER this morning as she woke up with throbbing with back pain. I believe she got twisted around when I made the evasive maneuver.

just a thought but on a open case you probably shouldn't post online that you drove 120mph to catch the guy...(since that alone is a felony) or post about it in general until the case is over. FYI
