Alright guys car is a 2005 spectra.

Usually I have an idea of what the problem is when there is something wrong with with my car. This time I have no clue what it could be .

Engine doesn't rev. I can start the car and it will ie but regardless ofw much throttle I give it, the engine won't rev up. As if I west on the the. Not I checked obvious, tottle cable is hooked up and throle opens. I even replaced the TPS. Also unplugged the battery to reset the ECU still nothing.

Any ideas?

Well even if that maf was unplugged there should still be some sort of effect of me pressing on the gas right?

So a bad MAF doesn't seem logical. Rgt?

Go to autozone or any auto store. Almost all will scan and read your codes for free

Wasn't it turboed at one time? Any smoke? You actually saw the butterfly valve open?

Turbo is still on it? Could the turbo be frozen?

Does the engine sound different when you depress the gas?

Have you tried working the throttle body by hand?

If you open the throttle, it will either die or rev ... it'll die because its going way lean. since that is not the problem ... could there be an obstruction thats blocking the inlet?

The car does not need a MAF to run ... it'll run off the A/F and TPS, it'll run crappy but it will run.

Well I think I found the source of the problem. My unichip computer . I unplugged it and plugged in the bypass plug. I think it might be burn out .

Since alpine is gone I have to set up a new fueling system .

No return line. Unichip adds fuel via a fifth injector located right before the throttle body.

I figure i might switch over to a dual fuel rail setup .
