blue will be your positive and grey will be your negative. The darker color speaker wire is usually going to be the negative in these cars.

hey guys, I know this is a long shot, but it's worth trying. I have a 2011 soul and would LOVE the 2012-2013 style tail lights. Don't have to be led, I just love the red and clear design much more than the tri color design. If there is anyone that is willing to trade me straight up, I would love you forever. The kicker here, there is no way I can let my car sit with no lights for days, I have 2 jobs and go to school so that would be out of the question. If there is someone in/near Ohio willing to meet up somewhere and trade, or I would need someone to send theirs first, then as soon as I got them I would send mine. So if there is anyone out there with a non daily driver newer style soul that wants to trade tail lights, let me know and we can be best friends!!!

Well those two screws are just pivot points where the light pivots when adjusting the height and song remove the light. Sadly, only the drivers side can be removed from the back because there is plenty of room. The passenger side can't (without a ton of pia work) because the windshield washing fluid resivoir is in the way. The easiest way to remove them is in fact to remove the bumper, which after doing it half a dozen times, gets pretty easy!

Well I got my new ballasts and when I fired them up, there was a big black shadow right down the center of each projector output. I was really confused about his and couldn't figure it out until I realized that I was pretty sure the bulbs were upside down but I wasn't sure if there was an upside down with hids so I did some research. I found that the ground bar is suppose to be on the bottom (which is what I thought) but the what the projectors were, the bulb holder positioned the bulb upside down. So I had to pop the bumper back off and pull out the black bulb holder and flip it over. Now the output is perfect and clean with now bar shadow! Really excited to drive around tonight!!

This next photo was before one HID ballast went out

Here is the output with the halogen bulbs in. I am really surprised I got them as straight as they are!

And with the headlights on (I know the driver's side is a little rotationally off but its not enough for me to open them back up and modify the alignment plate that the morimoto mini H1s use)

And more with the halgoens

And this one was a quick edit on a new program (snapseed) I just downloaded on my Iphone. (which all these photos were taken on)

Quick update. I fixed the adjustment screws but for some reason, one of the hid ballasts went out. So a huge plus to the projectors I chose is they take the stock bulb size so I just put my stock bulbs in so I'm not "left in the dark." So I ordered new ballasts and will hopefully have them in this weekend. Output is still pretty nice with the halogens and I'm very impressed at how well horizontally aligned I got them ill post pictures tonight but they will be with the halogen bulbs but you'll get the idea and when the ballasts come in, I'll postmore photos!

Ok guys, here are my new retrofitted fogs!!! I don't have them in the car yet, but I'll get them in tomorrow morning!
Here are some pictures!!!

Here are the actual projectors that I used

When you remove the fog lights from the soul, there are 2 plastic screw retainers that you must remove

Then loosen the adjustment screw all the way until is the light comes out of the bracket

and then it pops right out

I baked them and popped the lenses right off. Then I cut the back of the reflector bowl big enough for the projector. This is where I forgot to take photos lol
When I got them just right, I took some quick steel...

...and used some to put on the bowl and put in the reflector and let it set up for a second then aligned the beam with previous markings on the wall.

and now both are done and the quick steel is setting up

I was going to tint the housing lenses because I didn't think I'd be able to paint the reflector bowl and the outside of the reflector because its a really small, tight area to get in to it, but I couldn't get them to turn out the way that I wanted them too, so I took a chance at painting them and they turned out great!

and then baked them and resealed them!

They turned out really well so far, lets just hope they will still look good on the car and that I did a good job aligning the projectors!!!

Here are 2 sites with output pictures. the one with the mustang looks a lot better than the one with the tahoe. but either way, both look pretty nice.

site 1

site 2

as soon as I get them, I'll get some output shots of them in my garage.
