I pretty much always get 380+ miles on a tank of gas in my 08 Spec5. In fact I just filled up today and got 394 on 13 gallons of gas.

I'm running a Fidanza one with a weighted s2000 style shift knob. You can get the shifter from importshark for $50 shipped.

1.8 Beta was 96-97 elantra and 97 Tiburon. 2.0 Beta I was available 98-2000. Beta II was available starting 01 in Elantra. Beta II CVVT was 03+ in Elantra and Tiburon. There are also 1.6l Betas in Europe.

No, that would be your gvwr label and you probably only read the front gvwr. That is not curb weight. That is the maximum Recommended weight with drivers, passengers and cargo. The first generation crx didn't even weigh that little.

2008 rio
Length 166.9"
Curb weight 2365
Horsepower 110
City 27mpg/ highway 32mpg

2013 rio
Length 171.9"
Curb weight 2410
Horsepower 138
City 30mpg/ highway 40mpg

So the new is 5" longer, gets better gas mileage, has more interior room and has more horsepower and features. Sounds like a winner to me. Not all new cars are getting bigger. For example the 370z got smaller, the next generation miata promises to be smaller. I agree some cars should remain around he same size but we as Americans seem to always want excess. I myself love small cars but alot of Americans get stuck in this bigger is better mentality. We create the problem.

Anyone remove their spoiler on their spec5? I took off the 4 bolts but it seems like it still won't budge. Is it double sticky taped on also? I pulled very hard and it only came up about 1/8 an inch. Thanks.

1: The dealer does indeed sound fishy.

2: LKQ has Betas engine on ebay and in their ebay store for $150-$300 all the time. Most have 50K or less. You can even pick it up for free at one of their centers if there is one around you. Even if you have it shipped it would only be $500-600 total plus install. There are people on here who could help you install it for free or maybe kick them a little money.

So I'm scanning Ebay looking for a project car and people are asking outrageous prices. I saw a 2001 Accent GS on there for $8K. Retail value is $3400. I paid $11K for a brand new 01 GS with power package and just about every option back in 2000. Then I saw an 88 RX7 turbo II with a reserve of $8K also, WTF, it wasn't even mint and again KBB value was under $4K.

I am running 18x7.5" wheels with 225/40 tires. My rims weigh 19.6lbs each. I am running Tiburon GR2s and Progress lowering springs. My ride is way better/smoother now then stock and my mileage is almost identical, Still 31-32 mpg pretty consistently and 420-450/tank. My speedo would read about 3mph off at 70 with the stock wheels according to my GPS but it is perfect now with the 18's.

Except these are for the Forte. Why does everyone keep posting Forte stuff here? This is like the third time in the last 2 weeks. We need a Forte forum. I doubt anything from the Forte will fit our 04-09 Spectras.
