Camshaft sensor 7volts?? High spike

Am I supposed to be seeing 7-8 volts on the camshaft sensor? KIA shows the camshaft volt reference should be anywhere from 0-5v. I'm thinking this high voltage reading is causing the car not to run correctly which is causing the cam sensor code.

What could be causing high voltage at that reading

I never get above 13v. Even with all loads up and accessories on. No more than .2 volts on the negative side as well.

But when I turn on the AC the car shuts off.

CMPS (P0340) & System High Voltage (P0563) Codes?

I have recently replaced my block on my 05 spectra. I am getting a Camshaft position sensor code P0340 and System high voltage P0563.

The car starts and runs smooth on idle but I cant drive past 30mph, it will start missfiring like crazy.

I have another good running Kia spectra in my driveway. I have switched over the camshaft, maf, crankshaft, and tps sensor over to my car to test it out. The car still runs poorly.

I also checked if the sensors are getting the right voltage. Camshaft is getting its 5v reference also.

The timing has been double and triple checked.

For the system high voltage code. I checked all connections and even replaced alternator. Still nothing...

Im stuck at 30mph untill its missfiring. I dont know what to do from here????

Anymore ideas, would be greatly appreciated, my car is stuck at my house in Austin and i need it bad.

Thanks guys

I'm selling my used header that I had on my Spectra. It is used and the color is light blue but it has faded somewhat from normal use. You can easily sandpaper it off and put a new color choice of your own.

No cracks and leaks anywhere. Not direct bolt on. I had to get a downpipe welded to it. Anymore questions let me know

I'm asking $100 plus $25 shipping to anywhere U.S.

I'm not usually on SK because so busy with school. You can text me at 512-584-76 three eighttttttttt or email pumaking91ATgmail.com

Thanks Richie

Nevermind found the problem...there goes a waste of $50 bucks on a used compressor. Lol.

I have a problem too. My clutch turns on and off sometimes and then my car starts overheating. I bought another used compressor and installed and is still doing the same? I have no idea what the problem is...

Where exactly is the resistor so I can check?
